The Kite Runners

Makar Sankranti is a festival that signifies the beginning of the harvest season for the farmers of Indian Sub-Continent. This is a harvest festival celebrated all over India. We worshipped Saraswati Mata and made sweets. This festival is marked by flying of kites in the sky. The entire sky becomes a showcase of colourful kites of various sizes and shapes.

It is a working day so we all have to enjoy in the office only. Therefore, we were chasing our admin and hr managers to give us permission for kite flying. Our pleads finally worked and we got permission as well as sponsor for the kites and Manja .

We had fun on terrace with different coloured kites . There was cheering sounds when anybody cut the kite of others. We were flying high but were rooted also. This is a very nice stress buster which helps us to bond with each other also. Kaam ka kaam aur enjoyment ki enjoyment ho gayi… this is something I think nobody’s office had ever enjoyed … so guys be jealous of us!!!

When I remember my childhood, we had great time with kite. We used to do lot of preparation for the kite and manja . Than fights with revival groups across sectors. This year after long time, I flied the kite with my niece, but this time I was along, without fear of kite fighting. Today children have changed and have different means of playing game.
