Rodies on the task of Murud – Janjira

The much awaiting picnic of murud janjira was happened on January 25-26, 2008. this was planned much earlier about two months back but it got cancelled due to some reasons but again things work out very well and we headed towards Murud on bikes. We actually made many plans to manage bikes .. We six were in a group and three bike were necessity, out of which two were available; the only problem is Ashish’s bike. He has bike but we have to plan it accordingly so that no one in the family should know that we were going on bike. We made many plans and finally it decided that Saturday ie January 24, 2008 pranav and abhijeet will go to ashish’s place at kalyan and take the bike and park it to ankit’s house. Manasi and Madhavi suppose to come to Ashish’s house at Saturday night so that on Sunday morning they can leave together and take early morning train to reach karjat at around 6.30 am – 7.00 am. We had decided this plan at r- Mall and dispersed.

On Friday night, pranav phoned ashish to confirm the Saturdays plan because there was no communication between anyone for almost a week. When pranav phoned him that time he said that there is no need to come and take the bike, he will manage to take bike on Sunday morning. From here the uncertainty of the plan has started.. because there were no communication from manasi, madhavi and ashish’s side. So we were puzzled about the plan. I have sent a message to m2 but for that also no reply from them had come then I phoned pranav to confirm the things. Finally, pranav messaged me at around 10.30 pm saying that the plan is on. After that, I packed my bag. That’s y I said the much awaiting and uncertain picnic was happened.

I have told at home that we were going by car which we booked from kalyan. I have planned to catch 6.38 am train from karjat so that mom will be satisfy that I am going via kalyan and also at bhivpuri Abhijeet was suppose to pick me up. But my luck was not so good mom had insisted to drop me at station because according to her outside was pitch dark. I was so tense because what do I suppose to tell her about pranav if she asked. Somehow I manage to handle the situation and got out at Bhivpuri. After 10-15 min of wait abhijeet arrived at station and then again we headed towards karjat. We waited at the corner of the khopoli phata for others. As soon as everyone had arrived, we tied our bags and all set to ride on roads. Rodies were ready to hit the road.

Ashish as well as others were hungry so we started searching for the hotel but there was not a good hotel where we can stop and have something. We took our first halt at Krishana mandir, Apta. As it was a long weekend, there were loads of traffic on road. Thank god we were on bike atleast that’s y we reached couple of hours early at murud. We did masti while traveling, ,made comments on every possible things. As soon as we reached at Murud the biggest question was were to stay. Considering the rush and vehicles we had given up the hopes that we could get a place to stay. So as an alternative we asked one uncle if we can used their varanda for rest. Abhijeet and pranav went to search the place and Luck by Chance we get a place that to on cheaper rate. Our room was great, traveling before the peak holiday season is a huge plus. We put our luggage, got fresh, and came to restaurant. We had our lunch at around 4 pm that to what ever left over at hotel. Lunch was not exactly what we expected but its okay. We suppose to change and get ready to enjoy at beach but we took rest in our room. I and abhijeet took a nap while pranav, manasi, madhavi and ashish prefer to chitchat. At around 6 pm we went to Murud beach, the sun has started going down at the of the sea. The setting sun was looking beautiful. We had fun at beach, played football, played in the water etc etc.

We sang songs and the thrilling experience was we rode bikes on beach in water….unbelievable experience we had. After that we came back got fresh and had our dinner. We roamed around and finally settled down at sides of beach experiencing the music of waves for couple of hours and returned to the room. We were tired so immediately slept. Pranav got up early in the morning as he want to see the sunrise. He made me wake up also but I prefered to sleep some more time. So he went alone and enjoyed the first ray of sun. we got up at around 7 am and went to beach. We yet to start our journey to Janjira fort. One of the amazing fort of Maharashtra state. We bought robin hood style caps. Sun was very hot and we were sweating like pigs. There was an unexpected long q for the boat. We took our tickets and stood in the q for atleast hour and half. The boat ride was fabulous. We roamed around the fort for some time and then return to the jetty. We had our lunch at around 5.00 pm. after all this we started our return journey we reached very late at around 10.00-10.30 pm at karjat. Madhavi, manasi and ashish took a tain. They reached at around 12.45 pm at night.

I keeping my fingers cross for many more thrilling and future picnics….
